On October 3rd, 2002, the Canadian Ministry of Industry released its much anticipated report on the Copyright Act. The comprehensive report assesses the operation of the Act and identifies outstanding and emerging issues that need to be addressed. The report outlines 31 rights holder issues with respect to copyright and moral rights and sets out 14 issues pertaining to the use of copyright material. The report also discusses enforcement and remedies, rights management, limitations and exceptions, and a special regime for music.
