The world's three largest trade-mark offices recently entered into an agreement to harmonize their practices regarding the identification and classification of goods and services. An initial list of 7000 designations for goods and services has been approved by the European Office for Harmonization in the Internal Market, the Japan Patent Office and the US Patent and Trademark Office. The goal of the agreement is to speed up the examination process for applicants who use designations from the approved list to describe their products and services. Designations from the list will be accepted by examiners from all three offices. For more, visit: http://makeashorterlink.com/?M13441F98. Summary by: Hung Nguyen
