On June 19, 2002, Research In Motion (RIM) announced that it had filed a Complaint in the United States District Court for the District of Delaware against Good Technology, Inc. The Complaint alleges that Good Technology's wireless goods and services infringe on four of RIM's patents. By way of relief, RIM is asking the Court for an injunction and an award of monetary damages. In addition, RIM has claimed that Good Technology's infringement is wilful, thus allowing the Court to award RIM enhanced monetary damages as well as legal fees. A copy of the news release.
