On June 4, 2026, M. Imtiaz Karamat will co-chair the Canadian Technology Law Association (CAN-TECH) 2026 Spring Conference with Kristal Allen (Dentons Canada LLP) in Toronto. The theme of this year’s conference is “Building the Modern Technology Lawyer”.

This year’s CAN-TECH Spring Conference is a half-day program featuring panels across five Canadian cities (Vancouver, Calgary, Toronto, Halifax and Montreal). The panels will focus on preparing junior to mid-level technology lawyers for the realities of modern practice. Sessions will focus on key skills required for technology transactions, the future of Canadian privacy and cybersecurity law, and guidance for building a career in technology law.
