On February 20-21, 2026, incoming DWW Articling Student Uday Bahal participated in the Harold G. Fox Moot and received the Gordon F. Henderson Award for the best respondent factum with mooting partner Farai Munyurwa for the University of Ottawa. Uday's team finished as a Semi-Finalist in the oral rounds of the moot.
The Harold G. Fox IP Moot seeks to promote education in the intellectual property field while providing participants, law students from across Canada, the opportunity to present submissions in front of jurists of the Supreme, Ontario, and Federal Courts, and experienced practitioners of intellectual property law. It is named in honour of the late Harold G. Fox, one of Canada’s leading intellectual property scholars and advocates.
Congratulations to Uday and his team, and to all the students who participated!
