Organizations are facing an explosion of cyberattacks with more than 85 percent of Canadian companies experiencing at least one cyberattack in 2021.* With these statistics, it is critical to understand how to respond when an attack hits – every minute counts.
This workshop-style session will take in-house counsel through common attack vectors and review a step-by-step guide to incident response including: escalation, mitigation, investigations, involving third party experts, navigating ransomware, notification and reporting, federal and provincial regulatory obligations, internal and external communication strategies, and maintaining privilege. This hands-on workshop is designed to prepare in-house counsel for front line response in the face of cyberattacks.
