Uday Bahal is a Summer Law Student at the firm, practicing in the areas of intellectual property law, information technology, and regulatory law.
During his legal studies, Uday focuses on enhancing his legal research and advocacy skills. He participated in the Nelligan Law Moot Competition and took courses that supported his development in these areas. In the summer of 2024, Uday worked as a Summer Law Student at a full service firm in Ottawa, focusing on Intellectual Property Law. Uday particularly enjoys courses related to Intellectual Property and Technology, including Pharmaceutical IP and Regulation, Intellectual Property Law, AI and the Legal Profession, and Forensic Science.
Prior to his legal studies, Uday completed a combined Bachelor-Master of Technology in Biotechnology, with research focused on plant tissue culture. He also earned a Master of Engineering in Biomedical Engineering from Cornell University, where he researched treatments for temporomandibular joint disorder. Additionally, Uday worked in the product development team at Medioh Inc., a Montreal-based company, where his responsibilities included ensuring compliance with FDA, Health Canada, and relevant ISO standards.
