Uday Bahal is a Articling Law Student at the firm, practicing in the areas of intellectual property law, information technology, and regulatory law.
Practice Areas
During his legal studies, Uday focused on enhancing his legal research and advocacy skills. He participated in the Nelligan Law Moot Competition and the Harold G. Fox Moot and completed courses that supported his development in these areas. In the summer of 2024, Uday worked as a Summer Law Student at a full-service firm in Ottawa, focusing on Intellectual Property Law. Uday particularly enjoyed courses related to Intellectual Property and Technology, including Advanced Trademarks, AI and the Legal Profession, Copyright, Intellectual Property Law, and Pharmaceutical IP and Regulation.
Prior to his legal studies, Uday completed a combined Bachelor-Master of Technology in Biotechnology, where his research focused on plant tissue culture. He also earned a Master of Engineering in Biomedical Engineering from Cornell University, where he researched treatments for temporomandibular joint disorder. Additionally, Uday worked in the product development team at Medioh Inc., a Montreal-based company, where his responsibilities included ensuring compliance with FDA, Health Canada, and relevant ISO standards.
